I've pretty much been away from blogging, that's why i decided to do a post with some of my current favorites i found through browsing (besides, lots of people do it)
So i went to the beach today! Unfortunately it was raining! and here's me thinking it would be blazing hot weather, i went wearing a tank top and shorts. San Diego weather is usually really great, but lately it's becoming indecisive (one day it's hot, one day it's raining, one day it's hot but at the same time raining)

Anyways, it's the last week of my vacation and i'm planning on working on some new items for a shop update. Maybe have a back to school sale for my etsy. Not sure yet though, I'll post sometime later about it when i get the details figured out (;

Thank you to all those who entered, visited the shop, gave great advice, and shared my little blog! I was reading through the many many comments and it really made me smile how supportive and nice everyone was! I knew I wouldn't be able to pick myself by reading all those wonderful comments, that's why I used random.org! Well I love giveaways and it was really exciting to do my first one! Now that it's done, I'll be sure to do lots more in the future!

first sale

First Sale!

Yesterday I sent out my first package and I have to admit I was pretty excited to have gotten a sale already. I wanted to make the package cute for the new owner of the lovely skeleton key necklace so I added a few small touches. I created a wooden tag which was pinned to an orange patterned ribbon, I placed the necklace into the orange envelope then tied it with hemp twine, then it all went (inluding my business card that I designed myself) into the brown handmade kraft bag. After that I wrapped it with a pretty light seafoam green tissue paper and tied it with yarn. I love packaging! Dont you?

This bike is adorable (: and it's made out of wood. Made from the people of LIKEaBike, it doesn't actually have any pedals as it's more for pushing (aka "walking bike"), especially because it's made for toddlers. Cute idea! I actually happen to like wood products and toys. Everytime we go to a toystore, I always browse through the wooden toys. To me it just seems more classy, but that's just my opinion. I would definitely get one of these one day for my future kiddos.

well in another news... i'm feeling inspired, and kind of in a gift giving mood.
i'm planning on putting together some gift packs... i'll post later about what they are for! maybe some pictures too.

inspiration wall

Inspiration Wall
So i was browsing around flickr.com looking for some pretty photos and inspiration, and i stumbled across a really wonderful group full of inspiration boards. I've seen this group before but it's still so fun to go through different photos of things that inspire people. I have an inspiration wall myself and i truly love adding different knick-knacks and findings, even tags or packaging items that are too cute to throw away.


So far it's filled with polaroid pictures, necklaces, wooden flowers, a chalkboard, small knick-knacks from my friends, and all sorts of random things that i love to look at.

I just updated the shop with a few more items.
I'm still in the process of adding and creating different types of items to the shop, especially some vintage, packaging supplies, etc. Please take a look!

Wow! What a wonderful way to start off my new ventures in this blogging world! Great response on the giveaway so far, and thank you to everyone who gave such wonderful comments and tips about my shop/ etsy in general! I'm definitely feeling inspired to create MORE items to add in the shop as many of you suggested. Also, it was surprising to see how many of you suggested raising the prices for my creations! I want these pieces to be affordable but at the same time I should think about the quality and how much time and care I put into them <3>
